          John P. Gillard, Jr.

          John's practice is focused on estate planning, business succession planning, trust and estate administration, real estate transactions, and general business representation.   

          John assists small business owners, health care providers and others in implementing estate and business succession plans that accomplish his clients' objectives of minimizing taxes, protecting assets from creditors, transitioning business ownership, passing wealth to succeeding generations, and when desirable, funding charitable endeavors.   

          John also acts as general counsel to his business clients, assisting them in entity formation, real estate acquisitions and leases, contract negotiations, and employee and shareholder matters, among other areas.

          John graduated from the University of Wisconsin with  B.B.A. in Finance in 1991 and from Marquette University Law School, cum laude, in 1996.  At Marquette, John served as Executive Editor of the Marquette Law Review and Editor-in-Chief of the Marquette Sports Law Journal.

           Eric counsels professional practices and closely held businesses in employee benefits and general business law related matters. 

           

          Eric frequently assists clients with the design, implementation, administration, and ongoing legal compliance of their retirement plans, health and welfare programs, and executive compensation arrangements.  He routinely works with clients to assist with Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and Internal Revenue Code compliance requirements, including all aspects of the IRS and DOL correction programs.

           

          Eric’s work in the business law area provides clients with counsel thoughout the business cycle, from formation to wind-down.  He has substantial experience with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment agreements, non-compete agreements, asset sale and purchase agreements, stock sale and purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, organizational documents, and all related corporate governance documents.

           

          Eric earned his law degree, cum laude, from Marquette University Law School in 2006.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2002.


          Jeffery R. Brodek

          Jeff Brodek has retired from the practice of law and is now a full-time husband, father, grandfather, bicyclist, hunter and fisherman, among other endeavors.
